“My motherland taught me art”– this may be a slogan of this debut exhibition by two masters of the lyrical landscape. Both Grygori Sokyrynskyi and Igor Shipilin depict what they feel about their home country, everyday features of the landscape – water, trees, roads, mountains, houses, and vineyards – that exemplify what is important in the perception of homeland.
The watercolours are by Grygori Sokyrynskyi (1900-1974); Igor Shipilin (b.1961) paints in oils.
To 24 May.
