Every two years the International Theatresports Institute (iTi) – the organisation that has built a community of improvisers who work with Keith Johnstone’s improvisational techniques – holds an international conference, and this year it’s in Dubai. This celebration of improvisational theatre at the Courtyard (which further cements its reputation as the local go-to centre for improv) features 20 of the world’s top improvisers and improv instructors in six days of workshops, shows, podcasts and panels, social and sightseeing activities.

You don’t have to participate actively in terms of performing, but there are opportunities throughout the week to get involved and play. If you have a Main Week or Weekend package you’ll be able to register the day before for a show you wish to perform in; the cast will be announced on the day of the show.
