Dubai Design Week and its associated events are looking for “driven, excellent design enthusiasts and professionals” – students, recent graduates, or “those who have experience in other fields and are looking to gain experience and insight into the planning and operations of Dubai Design Week”.
Internships should be available in five areas (and you have specify which you’re interested in when applying):
Programming (talks, workshops)
Project coordination (exhibitions, installations, pop-ups)
Communications (marketing, PR, social media)
Internships run from now until the end of November (Dubai Design Week itself is 13–18 November). Send your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org, stating the department you would like to work in and with ‘DXBDW Intern’ as the Subject.
If you don’t fancy the full three-month slog of internship, there’s also a Volunteer Programme running just for the period of Dubai Design Week. On-site volunteers are important, not least because they’re usually the public face of the event – interacting with guests and audiences, providing information to visitors, manning welcome desks, and so on. Applications will open in September; check the website.
